Terms of use

These terms govern your use of this site and what a registration or an application on it means. They are deliberately plain: this site informs you about the HACK.CENT program and records your interest in it. Nothing more is agreed here.

01

Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by LINGU.LAND. HACK.CENT is its pronunciation and spoken-English training program. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use it.

02

What a masterclass registration is

Registering for the free masterclass records your interest. At the time of writing, the date of the session and the number of places have not been set.

  • A registration is an interest entry. It does not reserve a confirmed seat.
  • A seat exists only once we have written to you with a date and confirmed your place in that session.
  • Places may be limited when the session is scheduled, and a registration may therefore not result in a place.
  • Nothing is charged for registering, and no payment details are requested.
03

What an application is

An application is a request to be considered for the program. It is not an enrolment and it is not a purchase.

  • Every application is followed by a conversation about fit, how the program runs, and what it costs.
  • Fees, dates and group size are confirmed in that conversation, not on this site.
  • We may decline an application, and you are free to withdraw yours at any point before enrolment.
  • Enrolment, if it happens, is agreed separately and in writing.
04

What is and is not promised

The program teaches the analysis of spoken English — sound recognition, phonetic notation, syllable structure, stress, linking, reduction and connected speech — so that you can carry on examining the language on your own.

  • No level of fluency, accent, score or examination result is promised, implied or guaranteed.
  • Results depend on the work you put in, and no two learners arrive at the same place.
  • Figures published about past groups are the founder's own records of internal work. They are not independently certified or peer-reviewed outcomes, and they are not a forecast of your result.
  • This program is not a qualification, an accreditation or a substitute for one.
05

The supporting software

IPAZER, SoundIPA, Wordefine and Wordy are supporting tools used alongside the training. They assist the work; they are not the educational product, and the program does not depend on any of them. Where a tool is made available to you, it is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, and you use it at your own risk. Features, availability and the tools themselves may change.

06

Using this site

You agree not to submit false details, not to submit through the forms automatically or at scale, and not to attempt to gain access to data that is not yours. Submissions are rate-limited and screened for automated traffic; a submission caught by those measures may be discarded.

07

Content and brand

The text, structure, course material, phonetic analyses and design of this site belong to LINGU.LAND, as do the LINGU.LAND and HACK.CENT names and logos. You may read and share the pages; you may not copy the material for your own teaching, training or commercial use without written permission.

08

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is and as available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of inaccuracy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither LINGU.LAND nor anyone working with it is liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this site or of the information on it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

09

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them, and the version in force is the one published here. How your personal data is handled is set out in our privacy notice.
